Printing an ID card consists of a few steps:

  • Search - Use Quick Find to search
  • Edit - Optionally, Edit the record to update person information before the card is printed
  • Photo - Capture the ID photo
  • Print - Print the card


Open the database

  1. Login to RapIDcard
  2. Open the database (Database > Open)
  3. Choose the .DBL file then click OK


Quick-find the person

  1. Click Quick Find
  2. Enter search terms (ID or first / last name)
  3. Click Next to find the person if more than one result is shown when searching by name


 Update person information

       Note: This step may not be required

  1. Click Edit
  2. Make the desired changes
  3. Click OK, then Yes to confirm saving the change


Print the card

  1. Click Print to print the ID card


Printing Troubleshooting

If the printer is not responding try the following troubleshooting steps.

  • Confirm the printer is powered on and the ready light is illuminated
  • Confirm cards and ribbon are in the printer
  • Confirm the printer is connected to USB or network cable
  • Confirm the printer is online (Devices and Printers / Printers)


We do not recommend deleting jobs from Windows Print Spooler unless you are able to easily re-print them from RapIDcard.
