To learn how to clean the Evolis Primacy 2 printhead follow the instructions below:
Maintenance accessory: Evolis cleaning swab impregnated with isopropyl alcohol.
1. Take an Evolis cleaning swab and press the middle of the tube until the end of the cotton bud is impregnated with alcohol
2. Unplug the power supply, open the cover, and find the print head.
3. Pull the protective cover up and gently rub the cotton bud from left to right along the print head for a few seconds.
4. Close the cover. Reconnect the printer.
To maintain the original print quality and to absorb surplus ink on the print head, we recommend that the print head is cleaned regularly using the cotton buds supplied by Evolis.
Recommended cleaning cycle: every time the ribbon is changed.
To prevent any effect on the printing quality or permanent damage of the print head, please avoid:
- any contact between the print head and any metal or sharp objects.
- touching the print head directly with your fingers
- any discharge of static electricity.
