Note: Please do not install applications or utilities found on the Canon Installation CD as it may conflict with IDMS or RapIDCard Pro.
Check for IDMS or RapIDcard Pro version 7.10.1.244 or later
- Launch IDMS or RapIDCard Pro
- Select Help > About
- If IDMS or RapIDCard Pro is below version 7.10.1.244 it is not compatible. Please update to the latest available version.
Complete the following steps on the camera before connecting it to the IDMS or RapIDcard Pro workstation:
- Disconnect the camera from the PC
- Insert the memory card into the camera
- Install the AC Adapter kit
- Set the shoot mode (twist dial on camera) to P (Program) mode
- Power the camera ON
- Press the MENU button on the camera
- Navigate to the first yellow wrench with one dot
- Set Auto Power Off to Off
- Press the MENU to exit
Configure IDMS or RapIDcard Pro for the Canon capture source:
- Launch IDMS or RapIDcard Pro
- Select Utilities > Capture Source > Canon
- The PHOTO button will now activate the Canon camera
